Greetings fellow OD2A evaluators,
We are posting the second session of an instructional series that provides a basic overview of the CDC evaluation framework. As mentioned in a previous blog, these sessions are part of an online course in the Michigan OD2A program designed to help local organizations build their capacity to conduct evaluations and use the results of the evaluations to improve their opioid-related programs.
This second session is titled: Engage Stakeholders. It reviews the first step in the CDC evaluation framework. This session will address the following questions.
- What does it mean to engage stakeholders?
- What is a stakeholder analysis plan?
- What is a stakeholder engagement plan?
Included in this session are two resources: A critical systems heuristic which can be used to conduct a stakeholder analysis, and a stakeholder engagement tool which can be used to develop and carry out a stakeholder engagement plan.
Again, I would love your feedback on this second session. What are the strengths of the video and the narrative? Which aspects of this session could be improved to make it a more effective learning tool? What are other ideas for building the evaluation capacity of local organizations that are addressing the opioid crisis in their jurisdictions?
